The newest version of the AllSides Media Bias Chart has been released, because according to AllSides, “bias is dynamic, and our chart changes with it.” Many outlets shown in the chart have undergone deeper reviews.
There are three bias charts, in addition to the media bias chart (which is more legacy-based), that you can view: the newly released X Influencer Bias Chart, which covers the bias of leading social media voices on the X platform; the Check Bias Chart for top fact checkers, such as Snopes, Politifact, FactCheck.org; and the News Aggregator Bias Chart for well known news aggregators, such as Google News, Yahoo! News, Drudge Report, and more.
AllSides offers additional resources, besides charts, for checking media bias. Its Media Bias Ratings section allows you to see more detailed information about an individual outlet’s rating. For each news source you can see the rating, an option to agree or disagree, and a score that reflects the community’s agreement with the rating, which indicates if a current bias rating may be off. AllSides has rated over 2,400 sources.
The AllSides Bias Checker is an on demand AI-enhanced tool that instantly estimates the bias of any news article. Access to this feature requires you to become a sustaining member of AllSides. Pricing is very reasonable.
