A Tool To Track "Supply Chain Footprint"

Drew Olanoff (TechCrunch) introduces a new tool, SupplyShift, for those companies who want to track the environmental impact of their suppliers. “What SupplyShift really is is a network which allows [organizations] to understand their “supply chain footprint” which will make suppliers actually care more about how they present themselves.” CEO Alexander Gershenson explains that until now corporations did not have the tools they needed as “sustainability is becoming a key part of corporate strategy.” Mattel’s lead paint experience is given as an example of a type of risk that customers can experience with suppliers.
