Pro Farmer, a division of Farm Journal, and Farmobile are partnering to jointly release the Pro Farmer Harvest Report powered by the Farmobile Index. Pro Farmer is an agriculture subscription-based market advisory firm and has operated the Pro Farmer Crop Tour for 28 years. “Crop Tour deploys scouts fanning out across seven midwestern states to physically sample corn and soybean fields during a key period in the growing season and informs Pro Farmer’s widely followed yield estimates.”
The concept for the Farmobile Index was launched during the 2019 Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour and the resulting Farmobile Index for Plant and Harvest is based on beta participant feedback. The Index allows you to:
- View aggregated planting results by state generated by Farmobile PUC device users (PUC is a small device that rides in your cab to gather your machine & agronomic data)
- Select an individual or a group of states and define date ranges
- Compare results against USDA-NASS estimates. (Only data totals, aggregated at the state level, are used for Index insights, no identifiable farm data are shared)
