PVH and Abercrombie & Fitch Agree to Bangladesh Safety Plan

American clothing retailers PVH (Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Van Heusen brands) and Abercrombie & Fitch have both signed up for the Bangladesh safety plan “to monitor factories and help finance making them safe.” The plan is in response to the recent Rana Plaza clothing factory collapse in Bangladesh. Thirty-one companies, mostly European, have signed up for the plan, with the exceptions being Wal-Mart, Gap and other U.S.-based companies.
