Here are acquisitions, releases, and partnership announcements made by supply market intel providers in the first five weeks of 2024. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!

Everbridge and Thoma Bravo – Critical event management provider, Everbridge, agreed to be taken private and acquired by Thoma Bravo in a $1.5 billion all-cash deal. According to TechCrunch, “at a time when geopolitical instability is expected to increase due to the number of elections taking place, alongside existing threats related to climate change and economic headwinds, Thoma Bravo clearly sees Everbridge’s suite of SaaS tools as being integral to companies looking to manage these risks.”

Informa Tech Combines with TechTarget – TechTarget will combine with Informa’s digital businesses, which include technology research firm Omdia, a portfolio of digital media brands, including InformationWeek, Network Computing and AI Business. TechTarget creates purchase intent insights for enterprise technology buyers.

Vizion Launches TradeView – Supply chain visibility solution provider, Vizion, launched the TradeView SaaS platform in collaboration with Dun & Bradstreet. “By leveraging Dun & Bradstreet’s industry-leading business information, risk, and supply chain data and Vizion’s vessel intelligence and performance metrics solutions, the TradeView SaaS platform will provide live monitoring of over $7.5 trillion in goods powered by 130+ data sources covering over 60% of container shipments from origin.”

Supplyframe’s New Design-to-Source Intelligence (DSI) Solutions Release – Supplyframe announced its new Design-to-Source Intelligence (DSI) Solutions release, which provides capabilities that will empower electronics design engineers, product leaders, and supply chain professionals with AI Insights, including contextual market intelligence that identifies potential risk factors for commodities in their bills of materials (BOMs).

Supply Wisdom Launches Self Service Model – Real-time risk monitoring provider, Supply Wisdom, launched a self-service, SaaS-based model for organizations in need of real-time risk monitoring. “As quickly evolving geographic factors continue to drive severe business disruptions, Supply Wisdom is seeing more organizations operationalize location-specific risk into their decision making.”

Platts (S&P) Launches Daily US Lithium Carbonate Price Assessments – Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched daily, spot market US lithium carbonate price assessments. “The introduction of new price assessments of battery-grade lithium carbonate delivered duty-paid (DDP) to the United States responds to growing demand from market participants for pricing transparency and increased pricing information, as the North American battery supply chain further develops.”

S&P Global Now Has (AI)-Enabled Search for S&P Global Marketplace – The Marketplace Generative AI search helps users discover the growing collection of S&P Global’s offerings and recommends other relevant data sets and services.

Blue Yonder Acquires Flexis AG – Supply chain solutions provider, Blue Yonder, has acquired Flexis AG, a software provider specializing in production optimization and transportation planning and execution. The acquisition will help companies with highly configurable products and expansive suppliers to plan and optimize their complex production facilities and network structures….”As companies continue the shift towards personalization, they are looking for ways to provide consumers with increased ability to tailor their product before it is built.”

The Smart Cube Revamps Commodity Intelligence Solution – The Smart Cube has revamped its Commodity Intelligence solution with brand new AI Forecasting and Cost Optimisation modules. Its custom commodity intelligence and price forecasts are now integrated into the Amplifi PRO procurement intelligence platform.

Mintel Introduces Leap AI – Consumer-focused businesses intelligence provider, Mintel, announced the launch of Mintel Leap, which is a generative AI platform built exclusively on Mintel’s proprietary research. Mintel Leap delivers research and recommendations for prompts such as “Analyze the changing demographics of beauty e-commerce consumers and the impact on purchasing habits”, “Provide an analysis of the competitive financial services landscape” or “What are current supply chain challenges in the foodservice industry and some potential solutions?”
